What to Expect

Let’s Talk

During our first conversation, we will start to discuss the creative project that you have in mind. This is an exciting time to talk about the potential of your project, so feel free to come to this meeting with reference photos and ideas.

After I have an understanding of the scope of your vision, we can also discuss the project timeline pricing. I typically require a one-year time frame to complete a commissioned portrait, but let me know if you need a faster project.

An initial deposit is required for me to start work on your project.

Concept Sketch

Next, I want to ensure that our visions for your project align. I will provide you with a concept sketch for your approval.

Reference Photos

For commissioned portraits, we will schedule a time for me to either take my own reference photos of you, or we can work with a photographer in your area.

Painting

This is where all of the fun happens! I will begin painting after we have aligned our vision for your project through the concept sketches, and after I have either taken or received reference photos for portraits. Along the way I will provide you with updates on my progress. Once the piece is complete, I will send you final photographs of the work.

After the piece is fully dry, I will carefully package the piece and coordinate all shipping arrangements. Your artwork will be on its way to you!
